Small Veg Shares receive 4-6 items per week, and Large Shares receive 7-9. An item can be head of lettuce, a pound of tomatoes or a bunch of carrots. Our vegetable offerings include almost anything you can find on a New England Farm. Weekly share prices fluctuate, sometimes worth more than the average and sometimes less. We carefully track costs to make sure you get your full value local, organic vegetables.
Unsure of what size to order? Not to worry, you can change your share size at any time if you find you’re getting too little or too much. Recipes and tips come in every week’s newsletter to help you keep up, and discover new ways to prepare old favorites and unfamiliars. For more on how to select a share size for your household, see the FAQs.
Fruit works a little differently. How much is in your share each week depends both on seasonal availability and share size. Fruit shares run smaller at the beginning of the season grow in volume as the season reaches its apex in late summer. We start with strawberries, move to other berries (raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries, currants) and delight when peaches, apples and melons abound in August and beyond. Local organic cranberries close the deal in late fall.

The Cheese Share represents a tour of New England via local cheese. Members can elect to receive a different cheese each week with our All-The-Cheese! Share, or opt to select the types they wish to receive with a $115 buy in minimum with the Build-Your-Own Cheese Share. Though many Cheese Share selections are available for sale individually in our stores or at the depot, we offer first dibs and a better price for Cheese Share Members.
We select small-batch dairy goodness from critically respected and award-winning producers like Valley View Farm, Topsfield, MA, Jasper Hill, VT Greensboro Bend, VT and Great Hill Blue, Marion, MA. To keep the share cost reasonable, we often source more affordable cheeses. If you like the fancy stuff, we often offer more expensive varieties as add-ons via our online stores.
Cheeses are sometimes organic, always made from local milk, and always delicious. Many are made from raw milk, some use vegetarian rennet, some do not. Please inquire further if you have dietary restrictions.
